This printable is about the Taj Mahal and I have used it with my 13-year-old students from my CLIL Geography class (English level, pre-intermediate CEFR A2+). It consists of a warming up activity to motivate them to learn about the topic and to check their prior knowledge on the topic, a reading text, some reading comprehension questions, a couple of vocabulary activities, a collaborative exercise and some final discussion points to deal with in a heads-together activity. You will also find the answer key and a printer-friendly versión of the text.
I have done this activity when we were studying Manmade Wonders in Asia. My students have learnt a lot about this building, the history and the legend behind it.
During this activity we were also watching a video from YouTube called Taj Mahal in India in https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0_zFvktrfRY which deals with the origin of India, which many centuries ago was not a country but diffrent kingdoms, with the difference between the north and the south of India and with Shah Janan's amazing construction(level of the video A2, pre-intermediate).
