A lesson to help your students create their own "Take What You Need" posters-- or in Spanish: "Toma Lo Que Necesitas" posters.
“Take what you need” posters are set up like “for sale” flyers that you might see tacked to a bulletin board at a grocery store or on a college campus. Instead of contact information on the tabs across the bottom, there are pieces of hope to help bring a smile to someone’s face.
These posters have become a phenomenon of happiness and goodwill and an expression of personal artistic nature. Please visit my Pinterest board
titled “Take What You Need Posters” to see more lovely examples and links to articles about this illustration of human kindness. And please visit this blog post
to see how I've used the template for a Spanish lesson.
Great for Back to School, Thanksgiving, RAK (Random Acts of Kindness) and character development. Also a wonderful emergency substitute plan. This activity is easily adaptable for any foreign language class.
Using the template provided, please encourage your students to create their own versions. I would love to see the designs they come up with, please share your student images with me on Facebook, my blog or by email (firstname.lastname@example.org).
Enjoy! ♥ La Profesora Frida
