A middle school alternative to a clip chart, designed for behavior management and self reflection. Perfect for conferences!
Please enjoy this behavior management tool that I designed and have successfully used in my middle school classroom! I found that often times my middle school students have a hard time Sitting and being truly engaged in my lessons and activities. My sixth graders are coming from a lot of movement in elementary to a very sedentary day in middle school. By allowing my students time to “take a break” and regain focus I have needed to use less referrals, and less time is spent on redirection. Take a breaks are not meant to be punishment unless they are abusing classroom time. (See below)
I found it best to print at 100%, cut in half and put in a mini binder. I used post it notes to separate children by last name. Once a Child got to 5 take a breaks they had a lunch detention with me., and a call home to work out a plan for better classroom time management for the student.
