    Description

    Not quite current events that you'd find in the news...but these are definitely current events that are on the minds of many teens today! If you're looking for a new way to learn about your students, build relationships, and gain trust...this activity is awesome! Students must be MATURE and feel safe enough to share in your classroom - this will feel like a bonding activity more than a lesson.

    In this game, students are asked to agree or disagree with current issues facing teens, such as, If someone is physically attacked, they should fight back...It is stupid to drink alcohol...People who vape are cool...Getting into a fight is a good way to become popular at this school...

    After the class activity, which should be run as a game of Hot Seat (directions available with product descriptions), give students homework that allows their parents to weigh in on the issues we voted on in class. The following day, discuss what students learned from their parents and how their votes may have differed from ours.
