Students with communication disorders often struggle when answering questions or participating in classroom discussions. These students may be those who stutter, have articulation disorders or have difficulty processing what they hear and formulating a response.
Have you ever wondered what you can do to support them in the classroom? One of the simplest and most effective supports is to give them time to formulate and deliver their message- without time pressure or fear of interruption!
I created a poster to remind students about the rules for respectful classroom discussions. Establishing a safe, supportive communication environment is empowering for all your students.
The poster is provided in both full color and gray-scale friendly low color versions. I hope you find it useful in your classroom.
