Looking for a tasteful way to appeal to your students or library patrons and encourage them to choose books to read? Here’s a product for you! I have created a collection of shelf talkers with a range of catchy sayings. All one has to do is print them out either on plain or index paper, write an engaging blurb for the book and then fold so that they fit over a shelf.
Each saying is placed in a speech bubble so it appears as if the books are speaking for themselves. A few of the sayings are: “I’m Magical,” “I’m Better Than My Movie,” “Read My Reality,” “People Like Me,” “I’m New Here,” “Read My Future,” and “Medalist.” There are ten different sayings in all. As a small bonus, I included one already filled out for this year’s Printz Award Winner -- Bone Gap.
The shelf talkers feature a woodgrain theme which integrates well into any library environment. This can also easily be used by a group of students to promote lit to their peers.
