There are two sets of cards included and you can cut them out to play different games. Numbers 5-120 are represented in each set.
1. Cut them out and put them in a center with some popsicle sticks so your students can recreate the number represented in tally marks.
2. Cut the numbers from the cards and create a matching game where your students match the tally card with the corresponding number.
3. Set up a game of “Go Fish” in partners or groups where each student gets 5 cards (or more depending on your group size) and they take turns asking each other if they have a match to a particular card. If they do, they get the card. If not, they draw, or ‘go fish’ from the pile of extras.
4. Invent your own game!
You can also use the tens cards to address CCSS: K.CC.A.1. Students need to understand that two groups of five make a set of ten. You can even circle the groups of ten for your students.
