**The packet can be printed off and given to students-- it walks through the activities step-by-step! The teacher will need to provide graph paper and real coins or coin manipulatives.
**I used this in a 2nd grade general education classroom as a "we do" during guided whole group instruction, and with gifted and talented first grade students. It could also stand alone as a math center or seat-work if students have some background knowledge about bar graphs and tally charts! The second activity requires students to compare two data sets, so teachers can differentiate by assigning the second graph analysis to high-ability learners, and assigning the "Coin Grab" activity to students who still need to master the basics of bar graphs.
