Product Description
This front/back graphic organizer again helps students identify and recall a key details of a major plot point in Edward Bloor's novel "Tangerine." The front page features challenges students to identify the" Who, What, When, Where, Why and How" of the sinkhole event. In my classes, we filled in the "Who" and "What" answers as a class. I then had students work in groups to answer "Where" and "When." Finally, they worked individually to answer the "Why" and "How." As homework, they completed the short writing assignment on the back page. This back page assignment challenges students to pretend that they are a wet and muddy Paul, the novel's protagonist, who must explain the entire sinkhole disaster to his mother. (It's a backhanded way of getting students to summarize this key plot point!)
