This Tangram Probability Organizer is a great way to combine geometry and probability by having students determine the fraction chance, term chance, and percentage chance of picking a tangram out of their bag and examining the characteristics. The preview will show a few of the questions or characteristics the students will be determining. Then, they’ll need to determine the probability of getting a shape with those characteristics. The questions ask about sides, parallel lines, right angles, vertices, polygons, perpendicular lines, acute angles, obtuse angles, and more. I provide the percentage reference for them to ensure accuracy in the percentage column. This is also a good organizer to show how a fraction can be converted into a decimal and then a percentage. For example, 1/7 = .14 which = 14%. Enjoy!
