Fundations aligned Initial and Final Blend Picture Cards for tapping and isolating sounds.

Thanks for checking out Tap It Out! These cards and activities can be used when practicing tapping (isolating of sounds) initial and final blends in the Fundations level 1 and Fundations level 2 units. It will also work with any class that is practicing these
initial blends - bl, br, cl, cr, gl, gr, fl, fr, pl, pr, tr, st, sk, sl, sm, sn, sw and these final blends - nt, pt, lt, xt, ft, mp, and nd. The picture cards included should be used after short vowels, digraphs, bonus letters, and glued sounds (am, an, all, ang, ing, ong, ung, ank, ink, onk, unk) have been taught in the previous Fundations units. None of these picture cards include words with long vowel patterns.

Included are 55 initial blend picture cards and 27 final blend picture cards. Also included are 5 tap-out the word practice writing pages. These pages give you a variety of options in the words that you select for practice with your students. Please see the product preview for what these look like.

These cards can be used to practice with small groups, whole class, one-to-one, or as a center. Students identify a word by picture (building vocabulary practice), then tap out the sounds, and write one sound per box. Lastly, they spell the entire word. You can also have students color in their cards yellow, pink, and green as is taught in Fundations. I have also included some ideas to extend the activity. I have used these to supplement my Fundations instruction year after year.

If you use Google Classroom, I have GOOGLE CLASSROOM CVC TAPPING SLIDES, GOOGLE CLASSROOM DIGRAPH TAPPING SLIDES and GOOGLE CLASSROOM GLUED SOUND TAPPING SLIDES too. These are perfect for remote instruction or for use on a Smartboard.
