Fundations Digraph Tapping and Isolating Sounds Supplemental Activity

Thanks for checking out Tap It Out! These cards and activities can be used with beginning tapping (isolating of sounds) of vowels, consonants and digraphs (ch, sh, th, wh, ck) when using Fundations level K, Fundations level 1, and Fundations level 2 units. It will also work with any class that is learning short vowel sounds or needs practice with the digraphs listed above.

Included are 23 digraph picture cards and a tap out the sounds practice writing page. Practice with small groups, whole class, one-to-one, or as a center. Students identify a word by picture (building vocabulary practice), then tap out the sounds, and write one sound per box. Lastly, they spell the entire word. Also included are some ideas to extend the activity. I have used these to supplement my Fundations instruction year after year.
