Many young students enjoy drawing vehicles, including buses. To make this experience more exciting, the students can first learn about tap-taps, which are painted buses from Haiti. Next, the class will draw buses on large paper following along with the step-by-step directions, which are appropriate for elementary students. After that, the students will invoke their own creativity when they decorate their bus pictures. Finally, the students will color their buses to make them as wild and bright as possible!
The directions are easy to follow, and there is no preparation necessary. The teacher only needs to turn on a projector and hand out papers and markers. This assignment could even be left with a substitute art-teacher.
