These printable lessons and practice in understanding tape diagrams and double number lines will help reinforce your lessons in ratios and proportions, as well as prepare your students for their state tests. The word problems and diagrams are aligned with CCLS 6.RP.3 and clarify how and when to use the tape diagram and the double number line (the double number line is modeled with both unit rates and percents). You can use this product as:
* small group lessons to focus instruction on both models
* use on an Interwrite board as whole-group lessons
* center or station work, as the explanations for both models are
* a quick assessment after teaching the diagrams
Answer keys are included, with clear explanations for each problem. This packet can also be used with seventh graders, to review their knowledge and application of visual models with ratios.
