As a language teacher, my homework goal is to get students to use Spanish outside the classroom, and hopefully in ways that fit with their proficiency and interests. I don’t want to overload students and families with assignments that aren’t meaningful, or give students “busy work” that they just do for the points. I also need a variety of options that can apply to my diverse learners - from beginners to native speakers. This is the list of options I came up with. I hope it is helpful!
I shared a free PDF version of my monthly homework options for middle school students here:
This listing is for the editable version. It includes a .zip file with:
1) An editable version of my homework options for middle school students, and my report template. (.doc file)
2) An editable version of my homework options for elementary students. (.doc file)
3) A description of how I use these resources. (.pdf file)
Suggested Grade level: Elementary or Middle School Spanish classes.
I appreciate any feedback, comments, or suggestions!
