Ready, aim, fire!!! Your students will love aiming for the target in this fun rhythm game. Designed to practice decoding 8 beat patterns, students will work in small groups to find the card that the teacher calls. There are different levels of play included to increase the difficulty. Also included is a fun extension that includes using Nerf Darts to “hit” the target!
There are two versions of the game included in this file: one written in stick notation with note heads and one written in stick notation without note heads.
Rhythms included in this set:
ta (quarter note)
ti-ti (eighth notes)
tika-tika (sixteenth notes)
ti-tika (one eighth- 2 sixteenth notes)
tika-ti- (2 sixteenth notes- one eighth)
tam-ti (dotted quarter-eighth note)
ti-tam (eighth-dotted quarter)
** These cards are NOT specific to a counting system so they will work with whatever rhythm duration syllables you use with your classes!
