In teahing the order of operations to both elementary and middle school students I have used the usual PEMDAS acronym to remember, but this game has been a successful way to really bring the concepts home. I have played it with various ages. The game is flexible in its rules of play so that it would adjust to high school pre Algebra and basic Algebra classes. We all know as teachers, that motivation and competition often go hand and hand. This power point presents the rules of play, along with a slide with certification should you want to print that and award it. It can be played individually or in teams. It can be a main lesson or a timed game for a quick prize like early out, hall pass, treat or whatever you desire.
