My students love competing tarsia challenges as they practice their mathematical skills. Students can complete this challenge individually, in pairs or in small groups. The tarsias can be printed on A4 for individuals or pairs, or on an A3 page if used by small groups.
Each times table is available with 9 and 16 triangles to allow for differentiation. The top three rows are the same to simplify the checking of answers. Blank forms are also included for those students who enjoy an extra challenge so they can create their own tarsia.
This game can be differentiated by allowing students to mentally calculate answers, or they can use the free Pocket Times Table cards available in my store. More differentiated games and challenges are also available to help build students' knowledge and confidence when using the time tables.
