In this Tarsia puzzle, students solve the equation on the edge of a piece and match it with the answer on the edge of another piece. When completed, all the pieces will form a gem.
This puzzle contains 15 long division equations. All equations have a 3-digit dividend and a one-digit divisor.
I've included the completed gem-shape (which can be used for the key), as well as the 12 pieces and a table of all the equations and corresponding answers. The pieces will need to be cut and (probably) laminated.
My students love these puzzles, as they're must more engaging than a plain worksheet. I love that they are naturally self-checking. If students don't see their answer, they know they need to solve the equation again.
