This is a great task-based activity packet that I use to motivate students to get involved in Spanish. All students are interested in technology. After all, it´s such an integral part of their lives. Cognates such as « celular » and « tableta » provide an easy introduction to acquire the language.
These 7 pages are filled with 11 fun and purposeful activities to engage the students in communication using technology vocabulary to answer the question: ¿Usas tú la tecnología más que tus compañeros/as de clase? The typical duración of the packet is one week or two, based on one 15 to 20 minute lesson per day.
The packet contains questionaires that have the students inquiring of their classmates in Spanish. These questions, such as: ¿Con qué propósito usas tu celular?, have a list of answers that students select from. Addionally, the students have an opportunity to build graphs based on the information gathered, and they will be able to compare students use of technology (example: Roberto usa el móvil más que Ana).
