This is a bundle of two of my products, both the beginner and intermediate task cards designed to help students find the volume of a rectangular prism with fractional dimensions.
The beginner set consists of a double set of 28 task cards (56 total) that have students finding dimensions of rectangular prisms, and then calculating the volume when one dimension is a fractional value. The double sets are identical prisms, but oriented differently so that the fractional side is not always visible in the more difficult set.
The intermediate set consists of a set of 28 task cards that have students finding the volume of rectangular prisms when two of the dimensions include fractional values. Each cube is drawn so that students can see the whole cubes, the fractional faces, and then the edge where the two fractional faces overlap.
I created these cards to use with my above level fifth grade students as they worked through the core standard 6GA2.
Each set of cards includes the recording sheets for the students, the answer keys, note pages for students, as well as an individual practice sheet (and answer key). I also included a note from me about how I used each set of cards, and some of the misconceptions my students had as they worked through them.
This is a 37-page PDF file. The beginner set is 23 pages, and the Intermediate set is 14 pages. The task cards are 4 per page. Each of these card sets is available separately in my store, as well.
