The reading passages were written with middle grade kids in mind. The assignments that go along with the reading passages consist of either several comprehension questions or another comprehension or editing activity.
These cards support the ELA standards for reading literature and informational test, especially those that relate to comprehension of story elements, making inferences, and using text-based information.
These task cards are designed specifically for middle grade kids with more content per card than many task cards – perfect for older kids who can handle more than one quick question per card.
For full sets of 30 task cards on topics including characterization, context clues, inferences, proofreading, parts of speech, analogies, idioms, and proverbs, as well as sets of seasonal reading comprehension cards, see Task Cards.
