Product Description
These task cards are designed to emphasize Operations on Functions. There are 5 different function operations examined in these task cards:

• Addition of Functions
• Subtraction of Functions
• Multiplication of Functions
• Division of Functions
• Composition of Functions

Students will be asked to:

• Find the rule
• Evaluate the resulting function

There are 40 Task Cards in this activity divided as follows:

• 4 Task Cards assess finding the rule of the sum of two functions
• 4 Task cards assess finding the rule of the difference of two functions
• 4 Task Cards assess finding the rule of the product of two functions
• 4 Task Cards assess finding the rule of the quotient of two functions
• 4 Task Cards assess finding the rule of the composition of two functions
• 4 Task Cards assess evaluating the sum at a number
• 4 Task Cards assess evaluating the difference at a number
• 4 Task Cards assess evaluating the product at a number
• 4 Task Cards assess evaluating the quotient at a number
• 4 Task Cards assess evaluating the composition at a number

The functions used are polynomials of different degrees.
These 40 task cards could be used all together or by choosing only the ones discussed a concept to be enforced. No task card depends on another one. The cards could be used as a review of operations on functions. They could be used in stations, in pair share, in cooperative learning, as exit tickets, as entrance tickets, as to do now, ... etc.

These task cards are included in two different formats. One format includes the answer as a QR code which requires the QR scanner app. In this case, students could check their answers independently and evaluate their understanding which is an awesome way to encourage "independence".

The other format is just simply the task cards without the QR code printed on the card.

The answer key is provided at the end with a student answer sheet as well.
