These Task Cards are meant to help students practice calculating speed, distance and time, with word problems.
TEK 8.6B Differentiate between speed, velocity, and acceleration.
TEK 6.8C Calculate average speed using distance and time measurements.
Each task card contains a word problem for calculating speed, distance or time. Using the formula, s=d/t, the student will identify which values are given and then solve for the missing value. They will also identify the velocity of each scenario. These task cards can be used in a variety of ways. You can hang them up in your classroom as is or in hallways for kids to work on answering each card. They can be printed multiple to a page, to be handed out as a warmup as well. There is a set with QR codes so that students can check their answers with their devices and a set without, or you can use the attached answer key.
There is a set with QR codes and a set without. A blank answer sheet for students to record their answers, as well as an answer key are included to help with grading. There is also room on the answer sheet for students to show work if you require this.
Previews are available so that you can see what the task cards looks like to make sure it is a product you would like to use and enjoy.
