These task cards are designed to emphasize the importance of evaluating a given function at a given input. There are 4 different functions used in these task cards:
* Linear Functions (15 task cards)
* Quadratic Functions (4 task cards)
* Absolute Value Functions (4 task cards)
* Polynomial with 3rd degree (1 task card)
The input used in these task cards is either a numerical value or an algebraic expression. Understanding evaluating functions with algebraic expressions becomes essential when teaching composition of functions.
These 24 task cards could be used as a review of evaluating functions. They could be used in stations, in pair share, in cooperative learning, as exit tickets, as entrance tickets, as to do now, ... etc.
These task cards are included in two different formats. One format includes the answer as a QR code which requires the QR scanner app. In this case, students could check their answers independently and evaluate their understanding which is an awesome way to encourage "independence".
The other format is just simply the task cards without the QR code printed on the card.
The answer key is provided at the end with a student answer sheet as well.
