These 40 task cards are designed to emphasize Finding the slope of a line. The following different models examined in these task cards: :

• Find the slope from a graph
• Find the slope from a set of ordered pairs
• Find the slope given an equation in slope-intercept form, standard form, and other forms
• Find the slope of the parallel line
• Find the slope of the perpendicular line
• Find the slope from a table of value (chart)
• Find the slope of the hypotenuse of a right triangle


The slope will always be one of these four possible options:

• Positive Slope
• Negative Slope
• Undefined Slope
• Zero Slope


In some of these task cards, students will be asked to determine without graphing and by using the slope value alone whether a line is:

• Rising,
• Falling,
• Vertical, or
• Horizontal


Also, Without calculating the slope, there are graphed lines where the student will be asked to determine based on the line graphed whether the line has a:

• Positive Slope,
• Negative Slope,
• Undefined Slope, or
• Horizontal Slope


These 40 cards are also available with OPTIONAL QR CODE which gives room for student independence.

Task cards could be used all together or by choosing only the ones discussing a particular concept to be enforced. No task card depends on another one. The cards could be used as a review of dividing polynomials. They could be used in stations, in pair share, in cooperative learning, as exit tickets, as entrance tickets, as to do now, ... etc.

The answer key is provided at the end with a student answer recording form (2 different options) if you desire to use.
