These Task Cards are meant to help students identify the properties of the first 20 elements on the periodic table.
TEK 8.5C Interpret the arrangement of the Periodic Table, including groups and periods, to explain how properties are used to classify elements.
Each task card contains an element as it would appear on the periodic table. The only clue that is given, is the chemical symbol. Using that clue, the student must be able to find it on the periodic table and then complete the seven questions about each, on the answer sheet. These task cards can be used in a variety of ways. You can hang them up in your classroom as is or in hallways for kids to work on answering the different portions of each card. They can be printed multiple to a page, to be handed out as a warmup as well. Each Card has a QR code so that students can check their answers with their devices or you can use the attached answer key.
There is a set with QR codes and a set without. A blank answer sheet for students to record their answers, as well as an answer key, are included to help with grading.
Periodic Table is included.
Previews are available so that you can see what the task cards looks like to make sure it is a product you would like to use and enjoy.
