Task Cards for End of the Year Classroom Cleanup and Organization for Secondary Classrooms.
The end of the school year can be very hectic and stressful. You have to do a ton of grading, in some cases deal with state exams, you have to find innovative ways to engage students that are thinking about their summer, deal with rooms with no air conditioning (well some of us), and organize the mass of supplies you’ve accumulated.
My classroom is always used for summer school so I know that I can’t leave things laying around or I will never see them again. I need to make sure everything is either locked up or taken home.
After 16 years of collecting (hoarding?) school supplies, curriculum guides, books for my classroom library, etc. I have amassed too many items and I need to enlist the help of students. I’m not allowed to use classroom time for this but I would either have students help during lunch (many of my kids don’t like going to the cafeteria) or after school. I either give them extra credit or I bring them a little treat. They often end up with some goodies (stickers, colored pens, etc.) as well. Use these task cards to assign students various jobs to help make your job a little less stressful. Use the blank cards at the end to write in any jobs you’d like to add.
There are 12 task cards included. Each card has a unique job and description for the student. There are also 4 blank cards for you to write in jobs that aren't included in this product.
Let me know if you have any questions.
