Use these task cards to review To Kill a Mockingbird. The cards are organized by the following activities: characters, quotes, literary elements, the trial, and chapter questions (16 – 21 are included with the cards analyzing the trial). Require students to provide text evidence for their responses, and these will give them practice with close reading.
This is a great tool to provide differentiation, formative assessment, and cooperative learning. The tasks require students to use recall, interpretation, analysis, and critical thinking. One page of blank cards is provided so the teacher can create his or her own questions and activities if desired. There are a total of 88 task cards. For the best printing quality, change your options to "landscape orientation." For each set of tasks or questions, there are corresponding cover pages with featured images of mockingbirds, finches, and blue jays.
