Ideas for using these task cards include:

*Use during transition times. Read a card and students can reply chorally or choose an individual to answer.
*While walking down the hall. Again, read a card and students can answer orally, or choose an individual to answer.
*Five minute filler. Students answer questions to fill in a few minutes time gap until the next activity.
*Beginning or end of class review.
*Group game, such as jeopardy. Divide the cards into 5 categories and assign a point value. Team with the most points in the end wins.
*Partner centers - Students are paired together and take turns pulling a card from the pile to ask their partner. If student gets the correct answer, he keeps the card. Student with the most cards in the end wins. (For this activity, it may be helpful for the teacher to write the answers on the backs of the cards)
