This lesson is based off the book A Bad Case of Tattle Tongue written by Julia Cook. The book is NOT included and can be purchased from amazon.com or BoysTownPress.org.
2 Tattling Rule Guides – 1 with visuals, 1 without visuals
Discussion Cards (10 total)
Tattle Tongue – Cut & Paste
2 Story Comprehension Worksheets – level 1 and level 2
Lesson Topic: Pragmatic Skills – Tattling
Lesson Grades: K-6
Lesson Ideas: When using the activity, first read the book together. Use the leveled visuals to discuss the rules of when you should tell (report) or when it’s tattling. The Table Discussion Cards can also easily be added as an extra activity. You can print on cardstock and laminate so you can use over and over. Younger students can complete the cut & paste activity. Finally, there are two levels of comprehension worksheets that follow up with the story.
