Product Description
All too often I have students approach me with information that I do not need to know, a.k.a. tattles. Many times these tattles cause drama and issues because students do not want to get in trouble. These minor problems take away from valuable class time. It is crucial that students be able to tell the difference between tattles and tells, the need to know information. This resources teaches just that!

Included in color and black & white:
Three Explanation Pages
Teacher Game boards (3 designs)
Monster Game boards (3 designs)
81 Tattle or Tell Situation Cards

During this game, students learn the difference between tattles and tells in an interactive and fun way. Print and laminate the three explanation pages, a teacher and monster game board, and all 81 situation cards. Cut the situation cards apart and place upside down in a pile. One at a time, students pick and read a card out loud. They then can use the three explanation posters to decide if this situation is a tattle or tell.

They will ask themselves: Is this my business? Is someone in danger or hurting? Was something done on purpose to harm me? Is this something I cannot handle on my own? Is this important information? Does the teacher have to know?

If they answer no to all of the questions, it is a tattle. They place the situation in the tattle monsters mouth and feed it to the tattle monster! If they answer yes to any of these questions then it’s a tell and they turn it into the teacher. They place the situation near the teacher.

In the end, students will have a clear understanding of what information the teacher needs to know!

I hope your students love this game!
