These cards are to be used with the Taxation without Representation Simulation. Handout cards to students. The students will then perform the role of that card.
Cards included: king, parliament, tax collectors, and colonists.
Colonists should be given about 20 small items as money - many use m&ms or smarties. Then the king and Parliament declare taxes that should be collected. Tax collectors collect the imposed "taxes" and divide between the king and Parliament. This should incite discussion about the fairness of the taxes and lead to a discussion about the American Revolution.
