Tax season- a perfect teaching moment! And apparently for kids, paying taxes is good fun. Go figure.
This is a kid ready tax form. I use this worksheet along with my classroom economy to teach about taxes. Each student pays taxes in April based on their "yearly income." Some kids might even qualify for a refund! Even if you do not run a classroom economy, this sheet can be adapted easily. You will simply need to make up an "income" for the kids to enter.
This form includes practice with adding and subtracting, multiplication and multiplying with decimals. There is a separate sheet that will provide practice with long division for grade levels that do not yet multiply with decimals.
This is a pdf format.
