PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Dear Teachers,

I use this lesson to introduce my students to basic dominant-allele relationships; specifically, dominance, incomplete dominance and codominance. I’ve created this worksheet to go along with a free, online web tutorial that compares the inheritance of traits under these genetic relationships.

Vocabulary used in this lesson:
• Complete dominance – animation* uses albinism as an example
• Incomplete dominance – animation uses sickle cell anemia as an example
• Codominance – animation uses blood types** as an example
• Alleles
• Heterozygous
• Homozygous

This product includes teacher notes, student worksheet and an answer key.
