This BUNDLED packet includes:
1. Teach Genetics: Activity – Mendel’s Peas, Dominance and Punnett Squares
I use this activity to introduce my students to dominant and recessive alleles and using Punnett squares to predict inherited traits. To expose my students to the work of Gregor Mendel, who is the founder of the field of genetics, I use his findings on pea shape and color as the example traits.
2. Teach Genetics: Dominance, Incomplete Dominance & Codominance Lesson
I use this lesson to introduce my students to basic dominant-allele relationships; specifically, dominance, incomplete dominance and codominance. I’ve created this worksheet to go along with a free, online web tutorial that compares the inheritance of traits under these genetic relationships.
