"Teach Kids About Japan – Let's Sing Karaoke” is an engaging, participatory world cultures lesson about Japan for kids that invites them to experience a key -- and really fun! -- element of Japanese culture. Kids will learn a little about Japan, meet Karaoke, the Japanese art of "empty orchestra," and join their grown-ups in pretending to sing.
PLEASE NOTE: This is not a deep karaoke tutorial. This light lesson gives us a chance to start a karaoke party with our kids, encouraging us to dip our toes in Japanese culture while we sing together. You can, and should, use the lesson as the inspiration for a sprawling sing-along party with your kids. Ideally the lesson will be the first step on your and your students' road to further karaoke exploration.
