Product Description

"Teach Kids About Vietnam – Let's Harvest rice!" is an engaging, participatory world cultures lesson about Vietnam for kids that invites them to experience an important element of Vietnamese cuisine and culture. Kids will learn a bit about rice, one of the world's most essential foods, and then, as way to put themselves into the process, act out some of the steps that get rice from the paddy to the plate.

PLEASE NOTE: This is not a technical rice harvesting tutorial! The goal of this lesson is to provide the tools for you to treat your students to their very first introduction to Vietnam and its relationship to its favorite food, and to inspire you and even your youngest students to leap into the experience together. Ideally the lesson will be the first step on your and your students' road to further Southeast Asian cultural exploration.
