Why It Works
Do you wish you had just a few extra minutes to give your students one-on-one support so they can master letter recognition and sounds? I created this interactive listening center to provide my students with just that--extra teacher directed support in an engaging and interactive way. Think of it as an extra teacher in your classroom! I use this as part of my listening center but you may wish to use this for RtI, intervention, or to send home with students who may need additional practice and support. This download includes an audio file and a corresponding printable book. Your students listen to the audio file as they learn all about letters and sounds. The interactive book address the following literacy skills:
-Letter identification
-Letter sound production
-Letter-sound correspondence
-1:1 tracking
-Isolating initial sound

Classroom Use
If you have smart devices in your classroom, your students can scan the QR code on the cover of each book to listen to the audio file. You can also burn the audio files onto a CD for use in individual CD players, at your listening center, or even upload to an iPod. You can also burn the files onto a CD and send the CD and corresponding book home with your students who might need extra support and practice!
