The Teach Phonology series focuses on 6 common phonological processes: Stopping, Voicing/Devoicing, Final Consonant Deletion, Fronting/Backing, Gliding and 'S' Cluster Reduction.
This series was developed to help children understand their phonological errors (and targets) in a metacognitive way.
Visuals are provided to 'teach' the concepts, which are explored in a story form, similar to the format of a Social Story™.
Opportunities for auditory discrimination and bombardment are provided so that you can informally understand the student's phonological system and determine where you may need to start therapy. Following on from this, there are ideas for how to teach, learn and explore the concepts using visual, auditory and tactile learning styles.
Minimal pairs cards are included in color and black and white and an iPad version of the story is added
in the package so that you can save ink and upload it to your preferred device.
