What is included
This is project for Teacher Appreciation Week. However, you could use this at any time of the year. Especially, if you are working on letter writing or descriptive writing. Included are 2 brainstorming sheets and 3 different styles of paper for the letter.
Students will brainstorm a list of teachers that they appreciate and write letters to them. Students will then deliver their letters to these teachers on Teacher Appreciation Week. If they are not in the same building anymore, this would be a great opportunity to mail a letter. You can choose to have your students do this via Google and have them type their letters or just print out using the PDF version and hand deliver the letters. We will be putting ours in envelopes and decorating for some extra creativity time!
Keep in mind, there are two versions of this project. A printable pdf version & a Google slides version. Here are some important reminders about the google version:
*Be sure you are signed into your school google account. Your resource will then be housed in your google drive.
*An easy option to get this to your students is to post this to Google Classroom. Then, use the “make a copy for each student” feature. Students can have their own version on their device and fill out each text box that I have created already.
*Students can COPY & PASTE slides if they need MORE brainstorming sheets or letter sheets. They also can delete slides if they don’t want to use certain ones.
*Students will then turn in and you can print out each letter. Or if students have access to a printer, then they can print.
*Best used for 1:1 classrooms
I would love to see how you use these in your classroom! If you post to social media, please tag us so we can give you a shout out!
