Honesty is a tough pill to swallow sometimes, but it is the best way to grow!
I give my students and their families these surveys/evaluations at the end of each year in order to help me reflect upon my teaching practice. I have found that my students and their families are very thoughtful, honest, and sometimes critical. I use the information that they provide me with in order to guide my own reflection into the new year.
Through this practice students and their families have provided me with invaluable tips that have helped me to grow in the way that I teach and communicate with my students.
I prefer to keep these evaluations anonymous in order to ensure honesty.
