I have been a middle/high school English and Journalism teacher for the past 14 years. Each year we, as teachers are asked to set goals for our school year. We are evaluated by our administration or peers. I find very often that these walk-through evaluations do not help me to see the bigger picture. We are here each and every day for our students, so it is really their impression of the course and their learning that truly matters to me.
I created this form three years ago. I have now edited it and used it each semester with my students to gather data about my teaching. Do my students find me helpful? Do they feel this information will help them in the future? Was there a lesson or unit that really stuck with them?
With this resource I am including a link to a fully editable Google Form for your course evaluation and data gathering purposes. If you are new to the Google Suite for Education, I have detailed directions and screenshots included for editing and distribution as well!
This resource includes the following:
I hope you find this to be a useful resource for your classroom!
