This chart can be used to document your efforts to help all students achieve high standards each year. Use it weekly, for each unit, for each semester, or yearly depending on your needs.
Each Performance standard of the Teacher Keys Effectiveness System (GEORGIA) is listed on the left column. The rows list descriptions of exemplary and proficient behaviors.
In each box is a drop-down menu with examples of performance indicators that you may want to document. They are only samples of performance indicators and you may add your own. The drop-down menus do not work on MAC Word, yet. I am trying to fix that. They work fine on a PC with WORD.
In the box you can also add more detail, links, images of student work, and more. You can also cut and paste the drop-down menus and put them in your lesson plans. I have also added a few other drop down menus including Marzano’s strategies, higher order thinking levels, and metacognitive strategies. In some boxes I tried to make a drop down menu listing ideas that give you a better understanding that portion of the rubric. Most of the drop down lists are made from information from the TKES handbook. A few of them are made from other trusted educational sites such as NEA, Reading Rockets, ASCD, NCTM and APA.
This year my administration gave me a chart with four of the standards on it and we were to note our strengths and weaknesses. The drop down menus gave me a great place to start so I could clearly articulate what I had continually done all year and what I wanted to work on. I put the indicators into my own words with brief examples. Next year I want to use something that documents what I am accomplishing and I wanted to fully understand what they are expecting so I hope you find this helpful in some way, as well! As I figure out how to simplify it, I will update the file for you.
