Teacher Planner includes pages for Class Information, Monthly Calendars followed by 2 sheets of Lined Paper for notes, Weekly Lesson Planning Pages, BIG Planning for each month/subject, Data Charts, Small Group spreadsheets, Parent Contact Log, and a heading for Curriculum. Each area is given in more detail below.

- Sunday through Saturday with an 8th section on the right for notes. Humble ISD events have already been typed into each month. They are listed at the bottom of the pertinent box. Light blue is used for events like Professional Growth Days or Holidays that effect the school day. Other events like Valentine's Day are in "pretty" colors.
- Each month has 2 lined sheets after the calendar. Holiday weeks also listed on lined paper to give a space filler in between planning weeks.
Weekly Lesson Planning Pages:
- Chart format across 2 pages.
> Left side lists Balanced Literacy Reading Block - Morning Meeting, Interactive Writing, Shared Reading, Interactive Read Aloud, and 3 Guided Reading Rotations. Along with a section for Writer's Workshop.
> The right side lists Specials, Math, Science, Social Studies, and Teacher Notes. Areas given to record the Unit of Study (across the week) as well as the breakdown of each day's lesson within that unit.
- Grid for 2018-2019 by Month for recording big units, themes, events, etc.
Party Planning Page
- A 2 page spread for each month - grid form with Subject Areas at the top and Academic Weeks across side.
- Spreadsheets for recording iStation scores, tests given, DRA dates and levels, etc.
- Team Planner spreadsheet -Master to copy and use for quick guided reading/math rotation PLANNING notes. Can also use for observational notes on each child or group.
- 2 Tracking Sheets - the size of regular sticky notes so student groups can be switched or modified depending on need.
- RtI Intervention - "Students" and "Needs" per 9 weeks in a spreadsheet. Then documentation of when you met with each for that 9 weeks. There is a 2 page spread for each 9 weeks which includes M-F and space to check that you met with them, list the # of minutes, and what kind of intervention you used.
Parent Contact Log:
- Generic Log to list -- Student, Date/Time, Comment/Concerns
- No pages are included for this. I am including the divider so that you can place your own curriculum frameworks after it. I did not create them, so I am unable to include these in my planner.
Important Notes About Creating Your Perfect Planner:
* I create my own cover with pictures from my vacation. Friends love to use pictures of their families or pets.
* In order to get .25 inch margins, you must print one page at a time then place it back in printer to print the back of that page. You can also print all odd pages, then place each back in to print even pages. You will need to know your own printer to master this. I love MY printer but if I want to printer 2-sided, I must "fit to page" or my margins will cut off anything past .56 inches. Believe me that it's worth the time to do right and have everything ready from the start.
* Organizing - After you've printed all your pages, I recommend purchasing a set of pocket dividers to place at the end. This allows you to stick in handouts, scope and sequence, events, parent notes, iStation printouts or any other important documents that have collected throughout the year and want to keep in a safe place.
* Print out any pages that you think would be beneficial to have such as a Dolch Word List, Balanced Literacy Charts, Anchor Chart Ideas from Pinterest, or Math Strategies. Place them behind the Curriculum tab or create your own divider.
* Binding - I personally purchased a binding machine and covers so that I am able to create and publish books in my classroom. Before I had my own, however, I would take my items to an Office store and pay a minimal fee to have the items bound together.
* Lastly, I like to purchase the little plastic tabs so I can flip right to where I want. I tab my "Student Info." chart in red, each month on a blue tab, and extras like Big Planning and Data in green. Just helps me be efficient during planning meetings.
