Ruler Bars is software that is designed to measure the x and y dimensions of graphics or other items on the computer screen. When run, a set of horizontal and vertical rulers appear that can be moved around the screen. The rulers can be set to measure pixels, inches, or centimeters.
System Requirements: PC Computer wit Windows XP or later
To install the software, download and run the executable (.exe) file. Then follow the on-screen directions.
After starting the program, click on the Open Ruler Bars button to show the rulers. The rulers start out showing a scale in inches. The rulers are set for a maximum size of 800 pixels, 10 inches, or 24 centimeters. In order to make measurements, you can place the mouse anywhere over the ruler bars, click the left mouse button and hold, then drag the ruler bars to any place on the screen. By aligning the zero of the ruler bars in either the x or y directions, you can take measurements of objects on the screen.
To make changes, open the menu by clicking on the blue button at the left side of the ruler bars. From here click on the appropriate buttons to change the units, close the menu, or close the Ruler Bars software.
