This is a scheduler / classroom organization system for teachers.
This planner helped me leave with my students most days of the week! By staying on top of your schedule you can achieve the work-life balance we all want (or as close as you can get with being a teacher, especially at a charter school!).
Ms. Omoile's Weekly Action Plan was created after attending the FABULOUS Together Teacher Workshops by Maia. You should definitely sign up for a workshop ASAP - she changed my life!
This Weekly Action Planner helped me combine all personal and professional obligations into one document. I took 20 minutes, once-a-week to put it all together.
Organization and Productivity skills are often overlooked but they are essential to achieving the work-life balance we are all looking for as teachers.
In this document, I'l left in what my week looks like to serve as a guide for you. You are welcome to delete and make it your own!
This can be used for all grades and anyone in education.
On the 1st Page:
*I list the times of day that are Preps / times I need to be doing something
*I also include periods where I can pull out for small group intervention so I do not forget
* Outcomes at the top, help keep my major goals for the week fresh on my mind!
*Before School: From when I wake up to when the kids get here
*After School: What I do from the time my students leave to when I'm contracted to stay
*Evening: We all have to work in the evenings. I "batch" my worktime on Mon, Tues, and Wed...because I despise having to do work on the weekends! (I used to do all of this on Saturday)
*Priorities & Weekend: In Pink, are what I can do around my classroom if I have a certain amount of time.
* No more post-its! I have "buckets" for the people I speak to the most and when I think of something to say to them - I write it in this bucket!
*All important things from meetings with managers, the grade team / department, are also kept here
* Next Week To Dos: I write everything I need to remember for the following week here. Then during my weekly 20 minute meeting with myself, I make sure to refer to this as well.
I hope this is a helpful start to your beginning of the year organization system! It is my hope that it helps any new teachers or teachers looking for an easier organization system!
