Random Partners software allows you to create and load a student list for a given class, create random groups of two, three, four, or five students, and then print them out. If a student complains about the choice of group partners, you can say "the computer made me do it."
Requirements: PC computer with Windows XP or newer
Students who are absent can be removed or new students added. Student lists can be saved and loaded.
Lab Partners now includes two options: Random Partners and Lab Partners by Grades.
With Partners by Grades you can load a student list and a grade list for a given class and click and drop students into as many as eight groups. As the groups are formed, the average grades for each of the groups is calculated. When your groups are completed, you can print them out.
Student lists can also be exported from programs like Making the Grade and Excel. Step by step directions for exporting from these programs are included in Lab Partners.
To install the software, download and run the executable (.exe) file. Then follow the on-screen directions.
