Product Description

Teaching Broadcasting is a handbook for new and veteran Broadcast Journalism/Video Production/Film-making teachers who are looking to create or expand a program. The handbook is filled with information and forms for structuring a successful broadcasting class.

The book was written by 2016 California Teacher of the Year Doug Green and colleague Janna Bollinger. Doug Green's broadcasting program (CHSTV - Carlsbad, California) has won numerous local, national and international awards for both broadcast journalism and documentary production. They are the recipient of 19 Student Emmy Awards and nine prestigious STN Awards of Excellence.

After purchasing the handbook, please e-mail Doug at dougteach@aol.com for recently updated resources and links that you will find very useful. The updates include a detailed, comprehensive program description for a high school broadcast journalism program that is accredited by the University of California system as both a fine arts and interdisciplinary college-prep elective class.

The Teaching Broadcasting Handbook is being used in hundreds of middle school and high school programs nationwide.
