These activities are designed to prompt discuss in an engaging way on coping skills with lower elementary students. Included in this product:
-Three activity sheets on anger
-Two sheets on identifying a place the student feels safe with directions for teaching a deep breathing/visualization technique
-Three sheets on coping with worrying
-Individualized coping skill reminder cards. The students can personalize their reminder cards by drawing a picture. Several blank cards are provided so students can develop their own coping skills. When laminated and put on a key ring, this handy coping tool can be kept in the student’s book bag or desk as a quick reminder of things that help them calm down. There are also coping skills listed for students to use outside of school. The cards come in three colors to choose from.
-One coping skills role and reply activity. This activity is designed to create an engaging way to discuss coping skills. All that is needed is one die! This activity comes with an activity sheet to prompt students to think about coping skills and an answer sheet for the students to record their answers on. The answer sheet is great to send home with students to remind them of the coping skills you and the student developed together.
